The Chattanooga Mocs have released their 2020 football schedule. The slate features games at Western Kentucky and national FCS runner-up James Madison.
Those visits to Bowling Green, Ky. (Sept. 5) and Harrisonburg, Va. (Sept. 12) open the Mocs’ 2020 campaign. Big South foe North Alabama (Sept. 19) and VMI (Sept. 26) will then visit Finley Stadium to begin Chattanooga’s five planned home games.
Southern Conference play begins Sept. 26, with VMI visiting Chattanooga. The Mocs will then kick off the road portion of their league slate, visiting Cullowhee, North Carolina, to take on Western Carolina. League games at The Citadel (Oct. 17), East Tennessee State (Oct. 31), and Furman (Nov. 14) will round out the university’s league traveling contests.
Wofford will visit the Scenic City Oct. 10, with Mercer visiting two weeks later (Oct. 24) for Homecoming. Samford (Nov. 21) closes out the schedule for the Mocs.

First-year head coach Rusty Wright guided the 2019 Mocs to a 6-6 finish (5-3 SoCon), placing them third behind nationally-ranked schools in Wofford and Furman. Running back Ailym Ford was a finalist for the Jerry Rice Award, annually presented to the top freshman in FCS football.
