The Drake Bulldogs have announced their fall 2021 football schedule, which includes five home games and 11 contests overall.
Drake opens the 2021 season on Thursday, Sept. 2 with a non-conference contest at home at Drake Stadium in Des Moines, Iowa, against D-II West Virginia Wesleyan, a contest that was previously unannounced.
The Bulldogs then travel for back-to-back games at Montana State on Sept. 11 and at North Dakota on Sept. 18, which will close out their non-conference slate.
Drake opens Pioneer Football League (PFL) action on Sept. 25 at home against Valparaiso. Other opponents visiting Drake Stadium this fall include Dayton (Oct. 9), Stetson (Oct. 23), and new PFL member St. Thomas (Nov. 13).
Road PFL opponents for Drake this season include Butler (Oct. 2), San Diego (Oct. 16), Marist (Nov. 6), and Davidson (Nov. 20).

Drake finished the spring 2021 Pioneer Football League season with a 2-3 record in PFL play. The Bulldogs finished fifth in the conference standings behind Davidson (4-1), San Diego (4-2), Morehead State (4-2), and Valparaiso (4-2).
