2013 Big East Football Schedules announced

Big EastThe 2013 Big East Football Schedules were officially announced today. Conference play begins on Saturday, Sept. 7 when Houston visits Temple.

For the 2013 season, the Big East welcomes new members Houston, Memphis, SMU, and UCF. Pittsburgh and Syracuse are leaving the conference in 2013 to join the ACC.

Featured 2013 non-conference match-ups for the Big East include Purdue at Cincinnati, Michigan at Connecticut, BYU at Houston, Louisville at Kentucky, Duke at Memphis, Arkansas at Rutgers, SMU at Texas A&M, Temple at Notre Dame, and Miami (FL) at USF.

The Rutgers/Arkansas game is at Rutgers, not at Arkansas as is stated in this article.

Just saw a tweet that the Big East lawyers registered the domain name america12.com. So “America 12” is one possibility. Not sure why they would use a number in this day and age.

So much for my trip to Behle Street. My poor Bearcats. If a Wednesday nighter doesn’t ooze C-USA, I don’t know what does. Such is life in C-TBA.

And we forgot the props to newcomer UCF for their OOC games against Penn State and South Carolina. Nice to see that type of schedule from the new members.
