The South Carolina Gamecocks have announced their 2012 football schedule, which features games against Clemson, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Missouri and Tennessee.
South Carolina opens the season on Thursday, Aug. 30 at Vanderbilt. In six of eight seasons under Steve Spurrier, the Gamecocks have opened the season on a Thursday night.
The following week, South Carolina hosts East Carolina in Columbia (Sept. 8). Other non-conference games for South Carolina include UAB (Sept. 15), Wofford (Nov. 17) and at Clemson (Nov. 24).
South Carolina resumes SEC play on Sept. 22 at home vs. Missouri. The remainder of the Gamecocks conference slate includes at Kentucky (Sept. 29), Georgia (Oct. 6), at LSU (Oct. 13), at Florida (Oct. 20), Tennessee (Oct. 27) and Arkansas (Nov. 10).
The 2012 SEC Championship Game will be played on Saturday, Dec. 1 at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta.
