The Northern Iowa Panthers have released their fall 2021 football schedule, which includes five home games at the UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls, Iowa.

Northern Iowa opens its 2021 campaign with a Sept. 4 trek to Ames, Iowa, to take on the Iowa State Cyclones. The Panthers then travel to face Sacramento State on Sept. 11 before hosting their first opponent of the season, new FCS member St. Thomas, at the UNI-Dome on Sept. 18.

Missouri Valley Football Conference (MVFC) opponents coming to Cedar Falls include Youngstown State on Oct. 2, South Dakota on Oct. 16, Southern Illinois on Oct. 30, and Western Illinois on Nov. 20.

UNI’s road MVFC opponents this fall include North Dakota State on Oct. 9, South Dakota State on Oct. 23, Illinois State on Nov. 6, and Missouri State on Nov. 13.

Northern Iowa wrapped up their spring 2021 campaign 3-4 in MVFC action. In UNI’s final spring contest, they fell at home to North Dakota State, 23-20.
