The Washington Huskies have added the Portland State Vikings to their 2027 football schedule, FBSchedules.com has learned. A copy of the football game agreement with the University of Washington was obtained from Portland State University.
Washington will host Portland State at Alaska Airlines Field at Husky Stadium in Seattle, Wash., on Saturday, September 11, 2027. The Huskies will pay the Vikings a $600,000 guarantee for the game, according to the copy of the contract.
Washington and Portland State first met on the gridiron in 2012 and have played a total of three contests. In their most recent matchup in 2022, the Huskies defeated the Vikings 52-6 to extend their advantage in the overall series to 3-0.
The addition of Portland State tentatively completes Washington’s non-conference schedule for the 2027 season. The Huskies are also scheduled to host Fresno State on Sept. 4 and will travel to Pullman to face in-state rival Washington State in the Apple Cup on Sept. 18.
Washington’s nine-game Big Ten schedule in 2027 features home tilts with Maryland, Michigan State, Nebraska, Oregon, and USC, and road trips to Minnesota, Northwestern, Penn State, and Rutgers.
Portland State now has two FBS opponents on its non-conference schedule for 2027. The Vikings are also slated to visit Oregon State on Sept. 4.

In October 2024 it was reported both the 2025 and 2027 games were canceled.

I missed in the letter that it said they will draw up a new contract for the 2027 game. We have not seen the new contract but Oregon State lists the game on its website.
Appears Billings/PSU will not heed Bruce Barnum’s advice regarding scheduling.
