The Missouri Valley Football Conference (MVFC) has released its league football schedules for the 2025 and 2026 seasons.
Missouri Valley Football Conference members will play an eight-game conference football schedule with three non-conference opponents during both seasons. However, the 2025 season features an extra playing week due to the calendar, so most teams will schedule an additional non-league game for a total of 12 contests.
Following the departure of Western Illinois to the Ohio Valley Conference next season, the MVFC had to revise its future schedules. The 2024 conference schedule was revised and released in August.
Beginning in 2024, the MVFC will consist of 11 members — Illinois State, Indiana State, Missouri State, Murray State, North Dakota, North Dakota State, Northern Iowa, South Dakota, South Dakota State, Southern Illinois, and Youngstown State.
Below are the MVFC schedules for the 2025 and 2026 seasons. Non-conference contests are not included.

how long before it needs to be scrapped
Grrrrr!!
hoho-
All conferences department Staff have plenty of time to rewrite conference schedules from January 2024 – June 30, 2024.
Go Northern Iowa Panthers!!!
This could change if Southern Illinois and Youngstown State join the MAC in 2025, which I think should happen.
The MVC can then remain steady at 9 schools and have a round-robin conference schedule for the first time since 2011.
Has Southern Illinois really shared that much interest in moving up? Youngstown State has been rumored to jump for years, I’ve just never heard about an SIU defection.
Were going to DeKalb,IL,Were going to Bowling Green,OH!!!
News flash. All future schedules can change.
No reason, that I know of. that NDSU and SDSU can’t always play in week 12, like so many other rivalries.
As A Northern Iowa Fan I like to see NDSU & SDSU play last week in regular season.
Kevin 114% agree with you on schedule changes My three schedule changes I like to see three on them in 2025 Notre Dame to add FCS Villanova & Clemson to complete 2025 schedule & Furman be replacement FCS opponent for Penn State.
Now I want Notre Dame play at Virginia Tech 9/28/24 & bump Louisville home game to 11/23/24 & Syracuse be Rutgers ACC replacement opponent now that Army withdrew.
WOW. I thought the SEC was the only conference that dissected their team’s schedule. Tons of complaints as to who plays who when. Auburn complained they were playing Georgia & Alabama at the end of the season. Now they play Georgia in the middle of the season. Arkansas always got stuck with Georgia & Florida when schedules were altered such as the Covid schedule. At least this one year off schedule matrix, they will not be playing Georgia or Florida.
MVC is growing up as fans who believe they have influence over scheduling and switching conferences.
I have zero issue with Georgia Auburn playing in mid part of the season & thing I am excited about SEC is ABC doing Football games on regular TV also excited about CBS filling 3:30PM void by having Big Ten Football games. Northern Iowa will be My favorite Missouri Valley Team once Western Illinois heads to Ohio Valley in which they will be My favorite in that Conference.
