The Villanova Wildcats have announced their 2019 football schedule, which includes six home contests and 12 games overall.
Villanova will open the 2019 season in Week Zero on Saturday, Aug. 24 on the road in Hamilton, New York, against the Colgate Raiders.
After an off week on Labor Day weekend, Colgate opens their home schedule on Sept. 7 against the Lehigh Mountain Hawks at Villanova Stadium in Villanova, Pennsylvania. The Wildcats then travel for back-to-back contests at the Bucknell Bison on Sept. 14 and at the Towson Tigers on Sept. 21.
Villanova returns home on Sept. 28 to open Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) action against the Maine Black Bears. The Wildcats then hit the road for consecutive games at the William & Mary Tribe on Oct. 5 and at the James Madison Dukes on Oct. 12.
After their second off week of the season, Villanova hosts the Stony Brook Seawolves at Villanova Stadium on Oct. 26 before traveling to take on the New Hampshire Wildcats on Nov. 2.
Villanova closes out the 2019 regular-season with three straight home contests, first against the Richmond Spiders on Nov. 9. The Wildcats then step out of CAA play on Nov. 16 to host Long Island, which is moving up to the FCS in 2019, followed by a visit from the Delaware Blue Hens on Nov. 23.
Villanova finished the 2019 season 5-6 overall and 2-6 in CAA action. The Wildcats went to the FCS Playoffs most recently in 2016, where they fell to South Dakota State 10-7 in a Second Round contest.
