The SEC football schedule for the 2026 season will be released next week, according to an announcement from ESPN and the SEC.
The complete 2026 SEC football schedule will be unveiled on Thursday, Dec. 11 at 8:00pm ET / 7:00pm CT on a special two-hour schedule release show on the SEC Network. Dari Nowkhah will host the reveal and will be joined in studio by college football analysts Gene Chizik, Cole Cubelic, and Roman Harper.
SEC teams will begin playing a nine-game conference schedule in 2026 with three non-conference opponents. One of those three non-conference opponents is still required to be from the ACC, Big Ten, Big 12 or Notre Dame, as it has been since the 2016 season.
The SEC will place the top two teams in the overall standings into the SEC Championship Game, which is set for Saturday, Dec. 5, 2026 and will be televised by ABC.

FOOTBALL SCHEDULES

I expect the following conference games to be played Thanksgiving weekend:
Alabama-Auburn
Arkansas-LSU
Mississippi State-Ole Miss
Missouri-Oklahoma
Tennessee-Vanderbilt
Texas-Texas A&M
The remaining SEC teams would play their in-state ACC rivals as usual.
Good News Z-Man I fully agree with your proposed Thanksgiving weekend schedule especially Missouri-Oklahoma.
Georgia-Georgia Tech will always be a high interest with in-state SEC vs ACC.
I want to see Georgia vs Auburn & Missouri vs Florida to played on the same day that Red River Rivalry Texas vs Oklahoma.
This is just a suggestion.
