The Northern Colorado Bears will play at the Colorado State Rams in 2024, FBSchedules.com has learned.

A copy of the executed game contract was obtained from the University of Northern Colorado via a state public records request.

Northern Colorado will travel to take on Colorado State at Canvas Stadium in Fort Collins on Sept. 7, 2024. The Bears will receive a $400,000 guarantee for playing the game, according to the copy of the contract.

The two schools also have a previously announced agreement to meet in Fort Collins on Sept. 19, 2020. The Bears will receive a $325,000 guarantee for that contest.

Northern Colorado and Colorado State first met on the gridiron in 1893 and the two in-state foes have met a total of 22 times. In their most recent matchup in 2016, Colorado State defeated Northern Colorado 47-21 to extend their overall lead in the series to 20-0-1.

Northern Colorado is a member of the Big Sky Conference in the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS). The Bears finished the 2018 season 2-9 overall and 2-6 in Big Sky action.

Colorado State is the first scheduled non-conference opponent for the Northern Colorado Bears for the 2024 season.

Earlier this month, Northern Colorado announced that they will travel to Boulder to take on the Colorado Buffaloes on Sept. 4, 2021.

The Colorado State Rams now have three scheduled non-conference opponents in 2024. The Rams are scheduled to open the season at Texas on Aug. 31 and host Colorado on Sept. 14, one week after hosting Northern Colorado.

In Mountain West action in 2024, Colorado State will host Fresno State, New Mexico, Utah State, and Wyoming and will travel to Air Force, Boise State, San Diego State, and UNLV.
