  • Florida State adds ULM to 2011 football schedule

    The Florida State Seminoles have added the ULM Warhawks to their 2011 football schedule, the Orlando Sentinel has reported. An exact date for the game was not specified.

    FSU and ULM (a/k/a Louisiana-Monroe) have never met in football. The Warhawks are a member of the Sun Belt Conference.

  • LSU adds South Alabama to 2016 football schedule

    The LSU Tigers have added a game against the South Alabama Jaguars to their 2012 football schedule, the school has announced. The Tigers will host the Jaguars in Baton Rouge on October 15, 2016.

    This will be the first ever meeting between the two schools. South Alabama, an FCS school, expects to complete a full transition to the Football Bowl Championship Subdivision by the 2013 season. They will compete in the Sun Belt Conference.

  • BYU agrees to a six-year football contract with Notre Dame

    The BYU Cougars have agreed to a 6-year football contract with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, ESPN has announced. Dates of the games and other details have not been finalized yet.

    BYU and Notre Dame will meet six times through the 2020 season. The Irish lead the overall series against the Cougars 4-2. The two schools last played in 2005, a 49-23 win for Notre Dame in South Bend.

  • Oklahoma State, Purdue cancel 2016, 2019 football series

    A 2016 and 2019 home-and-home football series between the Oklahoma State Cowboys and the Purdue Boilermakers has been canceled, Purdue has announced.

    The two schools were scheduled to play at West Lafayette, Indiana on September 17, 2016 and at Stillwater, Oklahoma on September 14, 2019.

  • BYU schedules 2011-12 football games with five WAC schools

    The BYU Cougars have scheduled future football games against five WAC schools for 2011 and 2012. The games are part of a scheduling agreement with BYU and the WAC.

    On Tuesday, the Cougars announced that they will leave the Mountain West and go independent in football in 2011. As a result, the WAC has agreed to supply BYU wil five football opponents in 2011 and four in 2012. Listed below are details of each matchup.

    BYU originally scheduled to go to the WAC for everything expect football, but canceled those plans when the Mountain West took Nevada and Fresno State.
