The Campbell Camels have added games against North Carolina and The Citadel to their future football schedules, the school announced on Friday.

Campbell, a member of the Big South Conference in the FCS, will travel to play the North Carolina Tar Heels at Kenan Memorial Stadium in Chapel Hill on Nov. 4, 2023. UNC will be Campbell’s first-ever opponent from the ACC.

Campbell and The Citadel Bulldogs have also agreed to a home-and-home football series. Campbell will host The Citadel at Barker-Lane Stadium in Buies Creek, North Carolina on Thursday, Sept. 22, 2022 and will travel to take on the Bulldogs at Johnson Hagood Stadium in Charleston, South Carolina on Saturday, Sept. 9, 2023.

The 2022 meeting between Campbell and The Citadel will be their first-ever meeting on the gridiron.

Campbell also confirmed today our report from earlier this month that they will travel to face the East Carolina Pirates on Sept. 10, 2022. The Camels will receive a $350,000 guarantee for the game, according to a copy of the contract.

Additionally, Campbell and William & Mary have changed the dates of their 2019 and 2022 football series. Campbell will still host the Tribe sometime in 2022, but will now travel to Williamsburg, Virginia on a date to be determined in 2023.
