The Western Kentucky Hilltoppers will play the Maine Black Bears in 2018 and the Austin Peay Governors in 2022, according to their official website.

WKU and Austin Peay have met 42 times in a series that began in 1940. The Hilltoppers have won five straight in the series to extend their overall lead to 35-6-1.

Austin Peay is a member of the Ohio Valley Conference in the FCS. Last season, the Governors finished 0-11 overall and 0-8 in OVC play. Dating back to the 2014 season through present, Austin Peay has lost 24 straight games.

Last week, Western Kentucky announced a three-game series against the Louisville Cardinals. WKU will travel to Louisville in 2018 and 2020 and will host the Cardinals at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee in 2019.
