After an open date on Oct. 10, Western Carolina plays consecutive road contests at the East Tennessee State Buccaneers on Oct. 17 and at the Samford Bulldogs on Oct. 24.
Western Carolina then hosts back-to-back games at E.J. Whitmire Stadium against the Wofford Terriers on Oct. 31 and the VMI Keydets on Nov. 7.
Western Carolina plays their third and final non-conference contest of the season on Nov. 14 at Liberty before wrapping up their regular-season schedule on Nov. 21 at home against The Citadel Bulldogs.
