The Washington Huskies have added the Eastern Washington Eagles to their football schedules in 2026 and 2028, FBSchedules.com has learned.
A copy of the contract for both games against Eastern Washington University was obtained from the University of Washington via a state public records request.
Washington will host Eastern Washington at Husky Stadium in Seattle, Wash., on dates to be announced during the 2026 and 2028 seasons. The contract lists Sept. 5, Sept. 12, or Sept. 19 for the 2026 season, and Sept. 2, Sept. 9, or Sept. 16 for the 2028 season (Washington is currently scheduled to host Michigan State on Sept. 9, 2028).
The Huskies will pay the Eagles a $575,000 guarantee for the game in 2026 and a $$600,000 guarantee for the game in 2028, according to copies of each contract.
Washington and Eastern Washington first met on the gridiron in 2011 and have played three times overall. In their most recent matchup in 2019, the Huskies defeated the Eagles 47-14 to extend their unblemished record in the series to 3-0.
As previously mentioned, Washington is scheduled to host Michigan State on Sept. 9, 2028. That is the only other non-conference opponent scheduled for Washington in 2028. Eastern Washington is the first scheduled opponent for the Huskies in 2026.
