By Kevin Kelley -

The Vanderbilt Commodores have added future football series against the Georgia State Panthers and the Purdue Boilermakers, the school announced today.

Vanderbilt will face Georgia State in a home-and-home series in 2024 and 2025. The Commodores will travel to face Georgia State in Atlanta on Sept. 28, 2024 and will host the Panthers in Nashville on Sept. 20, 2025.

The 2024 contest will be the first meeting between Vanderbilt and Georgia State on the gridiron.

The Vanderbilt Commodores will travel to take on the Purdue Boilermakers at Ross-Ade Stadium in West Lafayette, Indiana on Sept. 7, 2019. Ten years later, Vanderbilt will host Purdue in Nashville on Sept. 8, 2029.

Vanderbilt and Purdue have only met twice. The Commodores won both contests, 3-0 in 1941 in West Lafayette and 26-0 in Nashville in 1942.

Good move for Vanderbilt to play at Georgia St in ATL, may be can get some recruits. The Commodores have added some nice P5 teams to their schedule, not sure about a 10 year gap in the Purdue game but at least they got them on the schedule.

I seriously doubt that 2029 game gets played, who knows how these leagues/conferences are going to shake out.
