The UT Martin Skyhawks will play at the Florida Gators in 2019 and at the Memphis Tigers in 2020, according to their official athletics website.
UT Martin will travel to take on Florida at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in Gainesville on Sept 7, 2019. The game will be the first-ever meeting between the two schools.
Florida is the second SEC team added to UTM’s 2019 football schedule. The Skyhawks are also scheduled to play at Kentucky on Nov. 23.
On Sept. 19, 2020, UT Martin will travel to face Memphis at Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium. The two schools last met in 2013 and have played three games overall, and the Tigers lead the series 2-1.
UT Martin is a member of the Ohio Valley Conference in the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS). Last season, the Skyhawks finished 6-5 overall and 4-4 in conference play.
Florida now has three scheduled non-conference games for the 2019 season. The Gators are slated to open the season against the Miami Hurricanes in Orlando (Aug. 31) and later host in-state rival Florida State (Nov. 30).
The addition of UT Martin tentatively completes Memphis’s non-conference schedule in 2020. The Tigers are also scheduled to host Arkansas State (Sept. 5), travel to Purdue (Sept. 12), and host UTSA (Sept. 26).
