By Kevin Kelley -

The UT Martin Skyhawks have announced their fall 2021 football schedule, which includes a game at Western Kentucky.

UT Martin opens the 2021 season on Thursday, Sept. 2 on the road with a non-conference contest against the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers. The following week on Saturday, Sept. 11, the Skyhawks open their home slate at Graham Stadium in Martin, Tenn., against Samford.

Other non-conference opponents for UT Martin this fall include Northwestern State (Sept. 18) and Jacksonville State (Sept. 25) on the road and fellow Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) member Southeast Missouri at home (Oct. 23).

UT Martin is set to open Ohio Valley Conference action on Oct. 9 at home against Murray State, which is also their Homecoming game. Other home OVC contests include Austin Peay (Oct. 30) and Tennessee State (Nov. 6).

The Skyhawks will travel to face OVC foes Eastern Illinois on Oct. 16, Tennessee Tech on Nov. 13, and Southeast Missouri on Nov. 20.

“This scheduling effort epitomized the spirit of cooperation and collaboration that exists among the OVC members,” said OVC Commissioner Beth DeBauche. “As a by-product of this effort, we believe we will enhance the sense of rivalry in the Conference and provide us with opportunities to showcase our outstanding level of competition.”
