The UT Martin Skyhawks have announced their 2019 football schedule, which features games at Florida and Kentucky.
UT Martin will open the 2019 season at home at Graham Stadium in Martin, Tennessee, on Thursday, Aug. 29 against the Northwestern State Demons.
Next, the Skyhawks travel for consecutive contests, first at the Florida Gators on Sept. 7. UTM then visits the Southern Illinois Salukis on Sept. 14.
After their only open date of the season, UT Martin opens Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) play at home on Sept. 28 against the Murray State Racers. That is followed by back-to-back road contests at the Eastern Kentucky Colonels on Oct. 5 and the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles on Oct. 12.
UT Martin returns to Graham Stadium to host the Eastern Illinois Panthers on Oct. 19 before hitting the road to face the Southeast Missouri Redhawks on Oct. 26.
The Skyhawks host the Jacksonville State Gamecocks in Martin on Nov. 2, which will be UTM’s Homecoming weekend. The following week on Nov. 9, UT Martin plays at the Austin Peay Governors before returning home to host the Tennessee State Tigers on Nov. 16.
UT Martin closes out their 2019 schedule on Nov. 23 on the road in Lexington against the Kentucky Wildcats, their second of two Southeastern Conference opponents in 2019.
The Skyhawks finished the 2018 season 2-9 overall and 2-6 in OVC action. UT Martin’s only Ohio Valley Conference championship came back in 2006.
