ULM-Troy game pushed back three months to December 5

By Brian Wilmer -

The 2020 ULM Warhawks at Troy Trojans football game has been pushed back three months to Saturday, December 5, the Sun Belt Conference has announced.

The game, originally scheduled to be played on Saturday, Sept. 5, was pushed back due to a number of positive tests for the novel coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) at ULM.

“I want to thank the leadership of ULM and Troy for their commitment to the health and safety of students, staff, and community,” said SBC Commissioner Keith Gill. “We appreciate the work that our COVID-19 Advisory Panel has done, as well as the cooperation between all of our members, as we adjust our schedules to keep people safe.”

ULM is now scheduled to begin its 2020 campaign Saturday, Sept. 12, as it visits Army. Troy will now commence the season with the resumption of The Battle for the Paladium Saturday, Sept. 19, as the Trojans visit Middle Tennessee.
