The United Football League (UFL) has announced the addition of four new markets, with two set to begin play in the 2027 season.
Teams in Colorado and Rhode Island will join the league in 2027, with Utah and Oklahoma set to begin play in 2028. Colorado will play at Weidner Field in Colorado Springs, Rhode Island at Centreville Bank Stadium in Pawtucket, Utah at America First Field in Sandy, and Oklahoma at the new MAPS 4 Multipurpose Stadium in Oklahoma City.
“2026 was an incredible year for the UFL, and seeing the response from our fans, players, and partners has made what comes next even more exciting,” said UFL Co-Owner Mike Repole. “There is a real energy around this league right now, and we’re thrilled to bring that energy to four new markets. We said in July that our next step was finding the right markets, venues, and fan bases where we can work with local leaders to build the strongest franchises for today and for the future, and we believe Colorado, Rhode Island, Oklahoma, and Utah represent those qualities. We’re thankful to the local leaders and partners who believed in this vision and have helped us get here. We can’t wait to see these markets come to life and the best part is that this is just the beginning.”
Colorado’s first home game is set for Sunday, April 11 at 3:00pm ET on ABC, while Rhode Island opens at home on Friday, April 2 at 8:00pm ET / 6:00pm MT on FOX UFL Friday. Rhode Island’s new name and branding will debut at Centreville Bank Stadium on October 18, with Colorado’s unveiling at Weidner Field on October 25. Utah and Oklahoma will release their identities closer to the 2028 season.
The UFL announced in July that it would exit the Birmingham and Houston markets. With the additions of Colorado and Rhode Island, the league returns to an eight‑team lineup for 2026: Colorado, Columbus, Dallas, DC, Louisville, Orlando, Rhode Island, and St. Louis.
COLORADO

Weidner Field, opened in 2021, has a seating capacity of 8,000.

RHODE ISLAND

Bringing professional football to Pawtucket is another exciting milestone for our venue and for Rhode Island, and our team can’t wait to welcome fans from across the state and deliver an unforgettable game-day experience.”
Centreville Bank Stadium, opened in 2025, has a seating capacity of 10,500.
UTAH

America First Field, opened in 2008, has a seating capacity of 20,213.
OKLAHOMA
“Oklahoma City welcomes the UFL to our championship city!” said Oklahoma City Mayor David Holt. “We love sports and we love football, so we think this should be a great fit. We have always said that the MAPS 4 Multipurpose Stadium opens up new opportunities for our city, and this is a perfect example. We look forward to the UFL’s arrival in 2028!”
