The UCF Knights have announced their 2012 football schedule, which features games against Ohio State, Missouri, East Carolina, Marshall and Southern Miss. This will be the final season for the Knights in Conference USA as they join the Big East in 2013.
UCF opens the 2012 season on Thursday, Aug. 30 at Akron followed by a trip to Ohio State on Sept. 8. Central Florida then has home games against Florida International on Sept. 15 and new SEC member Missouri on Sept. 29 to conclude their non-conference schedule.
The Knights begin C-USA play on Oct. 6 at home vs. East Carolina. The rest of their conference slate includes Southern Miss (Oct. 13), at Memphis (Oct. 20), at Marshall (Oct. 27), vs. SMU (Nov. 3), at UTEP (Nov. 10), at Tulsa (Nov. 17) and vs. UAB (Nov. 24).
The 2012 C-USA Championship Game will be played on Saturday, Dec. 1 and will be hosted by the team with the highest C-USA winning %.
