The UC Davis Aggies will play at the South Dakota State Jackrabbits in 2022, FBSchedules.com has learned.
UC Davis will travel to play South Dakota State at Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium in Brookings on Sept. 10, 2022. The Aggies will receive a $215,000 guarantee for playing the game, according to a copy of the contract obtained from the University of California – Davis via a state public records request.
UC Davis and South Dakota State first met on the gridiron in 1997 and have played six times overall. South Dakota State won the most recent matchup 12-8 in Brookings in 2012 to extend their overall lead in the series to 5-1.
South Dakota State is the second non-conference opponent scheduled for UC Davis for the 2022 season. The Aggies are slated to open the 2022 season at the California Golden Bears on Sept. 3.
The addition of a home game against UC Davis has tentatively completed South Dakota State’s 2022 non-conference schedule. The Jackrabbits are scheduled to open the 2022 season at home against the Butler Bulldogs on Sept. 3 and later travel to play the Iowa Hawkeyes on Sept. 17.
UC Davis is scheduled to open the upcoming 2019 season on Saturday, Aug. 31 at the California Golden Bears. South Dakota State opens the 2019 season two days prior on Thursday, Aug. 29 at the Minnesota Golden Gophers.
