Tulsa, Arkansas State schedule 2021, 2024 football series

The Tulsa Golden Hurricane and the Arkansas State Red Wolves have scheduled a home-and-home football series for 2021 and 2024.

News of the series was announced on Wednesday by Arkansas State athletics director Terry Mohajir while on Workday Redzone on 95.3 The Ticket with Kara Richey.

Exact dates of the series were later obtained by Kelly Hines of the Tulsa World.

In the first game of the series, Tulsa will host Arkansas State at Skelly Field at H.A. Chapman Stadium in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on Sept. 25, 2021. The series will conclude with the Golden Hurricane traveling to face the Red Wolves at Centennial Bank Stadium in Jonesboro on Sept. 7, 2024.

Tulsa and Arkansas State are also scheduled to meet in Jonesboro on Sept. 26, 2020, which is the final game of a home-and-home series that began in 2018 with a 29-20 Arkansas State win in Tulsa.

Tulsa and Arkansas State first met on the gridiron in 1978 and have played five games overall. The Red Wolves currently lead the series 3-2.

Arkansas State is the third announced non-conference opponent for Tulsa in 2021. The Golden Hurricane are also scheduled to play at Oklahoma State on Sept. 11 and at Ohio State on Sept. 18.

The Red Wolves are the first known non-conference opponent for the Golden Hurricane for the 2024 season.

Arkansas State has now tentatively completed their 2021 non-conference football schedule. A-State is slated to open the season with back-to-back home contests against Central Arkansas on Sept. 4 and Memphis on Sept. 11. The Red Wolves also travel to take on Washington on Sept. 18.

Tulsa is Arkansas State’s second non-conference opponent in 2024 to go along with a matchup at Iowa State on Sept. 14.

Mohajir also announced on 95.3 The Ticket that the 2019 Sun Belt Football Schedule will be released on Friday, March 1 at 11:00am ET/10:00am CT.
