The Utah State Aggies at Wyoming Cowboys football game has been canceled due to COVID-19, it was announced on Wednesday.
The two schools were scheduled to meet at War Memorial Stadium in Laramie, Wyo., on Thursday, Nov. 19. The game was canceled due to “…an upward trend of COVID-19 cases within the Utah State football program.”
The Mountain West is declaring the matchup a no contest and there is no plan to reschedule the game.
Utah State is winless this season in four attempts. The Aggies fell on the road at Boise State (42-13) and Nevada (34-9) and at home against San Diego State (38-7) and Fresno State (35-16). Their next game is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 26 at home against the New Mexico Lobos (7:00pm ET, FS1).
Wyoming is 1-2 so far this season following losses at Nevada, 37-34 in overtime, and at Colorado State, 34-24, and a win at home over Hawaii, 31-7. The Cowboys’ next game is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 27 at the UNLV Rebels and the game will be televised by FS1 at 4:00pm ET.
