Three Sun Belt teams, Appalachian State, Arkansas State, and Georgia Southern, have accepted bowl bids according to a report by ESPN.
The Appalachian State Mountaineers will play in the Raycom Media Camellia Bowl in Montgomery, Alabama against a team from the Mid-American Conference (MAC). The game is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 19 at 5:30pm ET on ESPN.
The Arkansas State Red Wolves are headed for a matchup against a team from Conference USA in the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl. The game is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 19 at 9pm ET on ESPN.
Georgia Southern will be playing in their first-ever post-season bowl game. The Eagles will play in the GoDaddy Bowl in Mobile, Alabama against a team from the MAC. The game is set for Wednesday, Dec. 23 at 8pm ET on ESPN.
One other bowl game is currently set. Middle Tennessee of C-USA and Western Michigan of the MAC will meet in the Popeyes Bahamas Bowl on Thursday, Dec. 24 (Noon ET, ESPN).
The Navy Midshipmen have accepted an invitation to the Military Bowl and will face either an ACC Opponent or Notre Dame on Monday, Dec. 28 (2:30pm, ESPN2).
these could be the only Sun Belt teams bowling this season…Georgia State’s chances are not good and neither are South Alabama’s
Anyone know the payout from the camellia bowl?
A $100 Big Lots gift card and a coupon for buy one get one appetizers at TGI Fridays lol
$100,000 each. And a visit to Cracker Barrel at the Eastchase Mall exit?

great replays. But– I think Geargia Southern receives their gift card from Yellow Wood.
replys
Cracker Barrel is at the Chantilly Blvd. exit, Eastchase is one exit up
Chantilly… urban sprawl name. It’ll always be the Mitylene exit to me…. but it’s at the east end of Eastchase sprawl. Taylor Road exit is at the west end of Eastchase. Same difference. Still doesn’t get us a Poulan WeedEater gift card!
David at least you know what you’re talking about instead of making fun of Montgomery. As as resident of Slapout (that’s right) I can say Montgomery has improved greatly over the past 20 years.
Wow, a GSU QB actually droping back for a pass!
Good for the Commish to get these settled. More opportunity for school’s fans to travel/attend than waiting until a week from now and a bit more than a week before the games. Another big “miss” with these ESPN-only-interested bowls: they are held less than two weeks following the end of the season (except Army/Navy?).
Someone failed to list the Bowl Game for the Georgia Bulldogs. They have been invited and accepted to play in the Toilet Bowl in Flushing, ohio.
i thought that game was Idaho v. Cent. Florida….
Its Central Florida vs Kansas in the Toilet Bowl, battle of the only 0-12 teams
Winner gets EMU
South may get one at 5-7,if they lose their last game.
