The Citadel Bulldogs have announced their 2020 football schedule, which includes six contests at home.

The Citadel opens the 2020 season at home at Johnson Hagood Stadium in Charleston, S.C., against the Elon Phoenix on Saturday, Sept. 5. The following week on Sept. 12, The Citadel opens Southern Conference (SoCon) play on the road against the Wofford Terriers.

The Bulldogs return home to host the Charleston Southern Buccaneers on Sept. 19, which is followed by their only off week of the season on Sept. 26.

The Citadel returns to action on Oct. 3 at home against the ETSU Buccaneers before they set out to face the Mercer Bears on Oct. 10.

Back-to-back home contests are next as The Citadel welcomes the Chattanooga Mocs (Oct. 17) and the Furman Paladins (Oct. 24) to Johnson Hagood Stadium. The Citadel then travels to take on the VMI Keydets on Halloween (Oct. 31) before hosting the Samford Bulldogs on Nov. 7 for Homecoming.

The Citadel’s final two games of the 2020 regular-season are on the road. The Bulldogs travel to take on the Clemson Tigers on Nov. 14 and the Western Carolina Catamounts on Nov. 21.

The Citadel closed out the 2019 season with consecutive losses to Chattanooga, 34-33, and Wofford, 31-11, to finish 6-6 overall and 4-4 in SoCon action.
