The Tennessee State Tigers have added the Kentucky State Thorobreds to complete their 2021 football schedule, the school announced on Monday.
Tennessee State will host Kentucky State at Hale Stadium in Nashville, Tenn., on Saturday, Sept. 18. Kentucky State is a member of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) in Division II.
The Kentucky State game will follow Tennessee State’s neutral-site non-conference contests against Grambling State on Sunday, Sept. 5 in Canton, Ohio, and against Jackson State on Saturday, Sept. 11 in Memphis, Tenn.
The Tigers are also scheduled to play at fellow Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) member Austin Peay on Oct. 2 and at Mississippi State on Nov. 20 in non-conference action.
Ohio Valley home opponents for Tennessee State in fall 2021 include Tennessee Tech, Murray State, and Austin Peay. Away OVC games include Southeast Missouri, Eastern Illinois, and UT Martin.

Tennessee State is currently 1-3 during the spring 2021 football season. The Tigers are next scheduled to host UT Martin on Sunday, March 28.
