The Southern Jaguars have announced their fall 2021 football schedule, which includes five home contests.
Southern will open the 2021 season on the road against the Troy Trojans on Saturday, Sept. 4. The following week on Sept. 11, the Jaguars open their home slate against Miles College in the Pete Richardson Classic at Ace W. Mumford Stadium in Baton Rouge, La.
Southern wraps up the non-conference portion of their fall 2021 schedule on Sept. 18 at home in Baton Rouge against the McNeese State Cowboys.
The Jaguars open Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) action on Sept. 25 on the road against the Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils. After an open date, Southern will take on the Texas Southern Tigers in the Arlington Football Showdown at Globe Life Park in Arlington, Texas, on Oct. 9.
Southern then travels to face the Arkansas-Pine Bluff Golden Lions on Oct. 16 before returning home to host four consecutive SWAC opponents — the Prairie View A&M Panthers for Homecoming on Oct. 23, the Alcorn State Braves on Oct. 30, the Florida A&M Rattlers on Nov. 6, and the Jackson State Tigers on Nov. 13.
After their second open date, Southern closes out the regular-season on Nov. 27 against the Grambling State Tigers in the 48th annual Bayou Classic at Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, La.
The 2021 SWAC Championship Game is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 4 at a site to be determined.
