Southeastern Louisiana announces fall 2021 football schedule

By Kevin Kelley -

The Southeastern Louisiana Lions have announced their fall 2021 football schedule, which features a game at Louisiana Tech.

Southeastern Louisiana opens the fall 2021 season with three consecutive non-conference contests, beginning at home at Strawberry Stadium in Hammond, La., against North Alabama on Saturday, Sept. 4. The Lions then travel to play Louisiana Tech on Sept. 11 and Central Connecticut on Sept. 18, the latter of which is a newly scheduled matchup. CCSU will return the trip to Hammond next season.

Due to five teams departing the conference this season, the remaining Southland members will each play three in-season home-and-homes with fellow members and two other single games against the remaining teams.

Southeastern Louisiana will play home-and-home series with Southland foes Northwestern State (Sept. 25 home; Oct. 23 away), McNeese (Oct. 2 away; Oct. 30 home), and Nicholls (Oct. 9 away; Nov. 18 home).

Remaining Southland contests for the Lions this fall include Houston Baptist at home on Oct. 16 and UIW on the road on Nov. 6.
