The Southeast Missouri Redhawks have added future football series with Dayton, Southern Illinois, and North Alabama, FBSchedules.com has learned.

Copies of contracts for all three series were obtained from Southeast Missouri State University via a state public records request.

Southeast Missouri will begin a home-and-home series with the Dayton Flyers at home at Houck Stadium in Cape Girardeau, Mo., on September 5, 2020. The series will conclude three seasons later at Dayton’s Welcome Stadium in Dayton, Ohio, on September 9, 2023.

Southeast Missouri and Dayton first met on the gridiron in a home-and-home series in 2017 and 2018. Dayton won the first contest 25-23 at home in 2017, and then Southeast Missouri emerged victorious 40-21 on their own campus in 2018.

The Redhawks have scheduled a four-game, home-and-home series with the Southern Illinois Salukis. Southeast Missouri will host Southern Illinois at Houck Stadium on September 2, 2021 and then again two seasons later on September 16, 2023.

The two contests at Southern Illinois’ Saluki Stadium in Carbondale, Ill., are scheduled for September 10, 2022 and September 21, 2024, the latter of which is the series finale.

SEMO and SIU are no strangers to each other, having met 87 times on the gridiron since 1909 in a battle now nicknamed “War for the Wheel.” In their most recent matchup earlier this season on August 29, Southeast Missouri defeated Southern Illinois 44-26 to take a five-game lead in the overall series, 42-37-8.

The North Alabama Lions will travel to Cape Girardeau, Mo., to kick off a home-and-home series with Southeast Missouri on September 7, 2024. The Redhawks will travel to face the Lions the following season at Braly Memorial Stadium in Florence, Ala., on September 6, 2025.

In their first and only matchup on the gridiron back in 1956, Southeast Missouri defeated North Alabama 61-13 in Cape Girardeau.
