The South Dakota State Jackrabbits and the Delaware State Hornets have scheduled a two-game football series for 2019 and 2021, FBSchedules.com has learned.

A copy of the two-game contract was obtained from South Dakota State University via a state public records request.

South Dakota State will host both games of the series at Dana J. Dyhouse Stadium in Brookings. The first game of the series is scheduled for Sept. 7, 2019, with the second and final game slated for Sept. 11, 2021.

The contract calls for South Dakota State to pay Delaware State a $190,000 guarantee, but it wasn’t clear whether that was for each game or both games combined.

The addition of Delaware State tentatively completes South Dakota State’s 2019 football schedule. Other non-conference opponents for SDSU include Minnesota (Aug. 29) and Drake (Sept. 14) on the road and Southern Utah (Sept. 21) at home.

In Missouri Valley Football Conference (MVFC) action in 2019, South Dakota State will host Southern Illinois, North Dakota State, Illinois State, and Northern Iowa and will travel to Youngstown State, Indiana State, Missouri State, and South Dakota.
