The South Alabama Jaguars have added three FCS teams to their future football schedules, according to their official athletics website.
South Alabama will host all three FCS teams at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile and each matchup will be the first-ever meeting between the schools. Jackson State will visit on Sept. 7, 2019, Grambling State on Sept. 12, 2020, and Western Illinois on Sept. 3, 2022.
The addition of Jackson State and Grambling State completes South Alabama’s non-conference schedule through the 2020 season. The Jaguars schedule is also complete in 2022 and they only need one game in 2021, which will most likely be an FCS opponent.
South Alabama’s future schedules also indicate they have set a new date for their home game against Bowling Green in 2022. Previously set for Sept. 3, the two schools will now meet on Sept. 24.
The Jaguars open the 2017 season at Ole Miss on Saturday, Sept. 2. Last season, USA opened at Mississippi State and upset the Bulldogs 21-20.
