By Brian Wilmer -

The Presbyterian Blue Hose have announced their 2019 football schedule, which includes six home games and six road contests.

Presbyterian opens its season with a trip to Deland, Fla., to battle Stetson. The Blue Hose and Hatters were scheduled to play for the 11th time last season, but the game was canceled due to Hurricane Florence.

An open date follows, after which the Blue Hose return to Bailey Memorial Stadium for a two-game home stand. Jacksonville visits Clinton on Sept. 14, while Eastern Kentucky visits for the first-ever meeting between the two on Sept. 21.

Big South play begins with a three-game road swing for the Blue Hose. Presbyterian visits North Alabama on Sept. 28, with trips to Campbell (Oct. 5) and Monmouth (Oct. 12) rounding out the travel.

Kennesaw State treks to Clinton for an Oct. 19 league game, with another two-game trip to Merrimack (Oct. 26) and Hampton (Nov. 2) in the subsequent weeks. Three home games complete the slate for the Blue Hose, with league foes Gardner-Webb (Nov. 9) and Charleston Southern (Nov. 16) taking the field at Bailey Memorial Stadium to start the final home swing of the season. NAIA opponent St. Andrews visits to close the season Nov. 23.

The 2018 Blue Hose finished the season 2-9 (0-5 Big South). Presbyterian will transition to non-scholarship football and the Pioneer League to begin the 2021 season.
