Portland State announces 2020 football schedule

The Portland State Vikings have announced their 2020 football schedule, which features games against two teams from the Pac-12.

Portland State will open the 2020 season on the road against the Arizona Wildcats of the Pac-12 Conference on Saturday, Sept. 5. After their only open date of the season on Sept. 12, Portland State travels to take on another Pac-12 team, the Oregon State Beavers on Sept. 19.

The third and final non-conference opponent of the season for Portland State is North Dakota at home on Oct. 24.

Portland State opens Big Sky Conference action on Sept. 26 at home at Hillsboro Stadium in Hillsboro, Oregon, against the Montana State Bobcats. Other conference home games include Idaho State (Oct. 17), Cal Poly (Oct. 31), and Eastern Washington (Nov. 20).

The Vikings will travel to take on Big Sky foes Southern Utah (Oct. 3), Idaho (Oct. 10), Weber State (Nov. 7), and Sacramento State (Nov. 14).

Portland State finished the 2019 season 5-7 overall and 3-5 in Big Sky action. The Vikings have made two appearances in the FCS Playoffs. They lost in the first round in 2000 and fell in the second-round in 2015.
