Oklahoma to host Missouri State in 2020

By Kevin Kelley -

The Oklahoma Sooners have added the Missouri State Bears to their 2020 football schedule, FBSchedules.com has learned.

Oklahoma will host Missouri State at Gaylord Family Oklahoma Memorial Stadium in Norman on Sept. 5, 2020. The Sooners will pay the Bears a $600,000 guarantee for the game, according to a copy of the contract obtained from Missouri State University via a state open records request.

The 2020 contest between Oklahoma and Missouri State will be their first-ever meeting on the gridiron.

Missouri State is a member of the Missouri Valley Conference in the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS). The Bears finished the 2017 season 3-8 overall and 2-6 in conference play.

The addition of Missouri State tentatively completes Oklahoma’s non-conference schedule in 2020. The Sooners are also scheduled to host Tennessee on Sept. 12 and travel to Army on Sept. 26 of that season.

In Big 12 play in 2020, Oklahoma is set to host Baylor, Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma State, and Texas (in Dallas, TX) and travel to Iowa State, TCU, Texas Tech, and West Virginia.
