The Notre Dame Fighting Irish have released their 2011 and 2012 football schedules, BlueandGold.com has reported.

Notre Dame will open the 2011 season in South Bend, Indiana against the USF Bulls. The Irish will also host Michigan State, Air Force, USC, Navy and Boston College.

The Irish will hit the road in 2011 to face Michigan, Pittsburgh, Purdue, Wake Forest and Stanford. Notre Dame will also play Maryland at FedEx Field in Landover, MD.

In 2012, the Fighting Irish will face what could be considered one of the toughest schedules ever. Notre Dame will open the season against Navy at Aviva Stadium in Dublin, Ireland. Home games include Purdue, Michigan, Stanford, BYU, Pittsburgh and Wake Forest.

Road games for the Irish in 2012 include Michigan State, Oklahoma, Boston College and USC. The Irish will also face the Miami Hurricanes at Soldier Field in Chicago.
