Northwestern State announces fall 2021 football schedule

By Kevin Kelley -

The Northwestern State Demons have announced their fall 2021 football schedule, which features five home contests.

Northwestern State opens the fall 2021 season with two consecutive road non-conference contests, beginning at North Texas on Saturday, Sept. 4 and at Alcorn State on Sept. 11.

The Demons then open their home schedule at Harry Turpin Stadium in Natchitoches, La., on Sept. 18 against UT Martin, which is their final non-conference contest of the season.

Due to five teams departing the conference this season, the remaining Southland members will each play three in-season home-and-homes with fellow members and two other single games against the remaining teams.

Northwestern State will play home-and-home series with Southland foes Southeastern Louisiana (Sept. 25 away; Oct. 23 home), Houston Baptist (Oct. 9 away; Nov. 6 home), and McNeese (Oct. 16 home; Nov. 20 away).

Remaining Southland contests for the Demons this fall include UIW at home on Oct. 2 and on the road against Nicholls on Oct. 30.
