The New Mexico Lobos and the UTSA Roadrunners have scheduled a 2013-14 home-and-home football series, UTSA announced today.
New Mexico will host UTSA at University Stadium in Albuquerque on August 31, 2013. On October 4, 2014, the Lobos will travel to face the Roadrunners at the Alamodome in San Antonio.
UTSA played their first ever football game on Sept. 3 and beat Northeastern State 31-3. The Roadrunners are playing as an FCS Independent and will join the WAC on July 1, 2012.
UTSA also announced changes to their 2012 football schedule today:
The Oct. 20 and Oct. 27 home dates with Southern Utah and UC Davis, respectively, have been dropped, while the Sept. 8 home contest with Sam Houston State has been pushed back to Sept. 26, 2015. Meanwhile, the road tilt at Georgia State, originally scheduled for Sept. 29, now will be played at the Georgia Dome on Sept. 15.
