The Navy Midshipmen at USF Bulls football game has been postponed due to COVID-19, it was announced on Wednesday.

The two schools were scheduled to meet at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Fla., on Saturday, Nov. 21. The game was postponed due to “…impacts of COVID-19” at USF.

The two schools will work with the American Athletic Conference to reschedule the game. Both schools share Dec. 5 as an open date.

“We are disappointed that we will be unable to play Navy this week,” USF Vice President of Athletics Michael Kelly said. “Our student-athletes are continuing to work hard with energy and enthusiasm, and look forward to the opportunity to compete and get better each week. However, all our decisions start with the health and safety of our student-athletes as our first priority and we reached a point this week where the decision was clear that it was in their best interest to postpone this week’s game.”

Navy’ next scheduled contest is not until Saturday, Dec. 12 when they face Army in the annual Army-Navy Game. The contest was moved from Philadelphia, Pa., to Michie Stadium in West Point, N.Y.

USF is slated to host the UCF Knights on Friday, Nov. 27. The game will be televised by ESPN at 3:30pm ET.
