Montana State and South Dakota have scheduled a home-and-home football series for 2031 and 2032, it was reported Thursday.
The games are slated for Sept. 13, 2031, at Bobcat Stadium in Bozeman, Mont., and Sept. 11, 2032, in the DakotaDome in Vermillion, S.D.
“Bringing a program of South Dakota’s caliber to Bobcat Stadium is exactly the kind of non-conference game our fans and players want,” said Montana State director of athletics Leon Costello. “It will be a playoff atmosphere in September. These are two championship-level programs, from FCS power conferences, and this series will be a great measuring stick for both teams heading into conference play.”
The contest marks Montana State’s second 2031 tilt, joining a Sept. 5 game at West Georgia.
Montana State is 3-0 against South Dakota, having won the most recent game between the two in 2024’s FCS semifinal round, 31-17, in Bobcat Stadium.
