Missouri State announces fall 2021 football schedule

The Missouri State Bears have officially announced their fall 2021 football schedule, which features a game at Oklahoma State.

Missouri State opens the fall 2021 season with consecutive non-conference contests, beginning at Oklahoma State on Saturday, Sept. 4. The Bears open their home schedule the following week on Sept. 11 against Central Arkansas at Robert W. Plaster Stadium in Springfield, Mo.

After an open date, Missouri State opens a string of eight consecutive contests against Missouri Valley Football Conference (MVFC) opponents, beginning at home versus South Dakota on Sept. 25. Also scheduled to visit Springfield this fall are Indiana State (Oct. 16; Homecoming), North Dakota (Oct. 30), and Northern Iowa (Nov. 13).

Road MVFC contests for the Bears in 2021 include Illinois State (Oct. 2), Youngstown State (Oct. 9), North Dakota State (Oct. 23), and Southern Illinois (Nov. 6).

Missouri State wraps up their fall 2021 regular-season slate on Nov. 20 with a road non-conference contest at Dixie State.

Missouri State finished their 2020-21 season 5-4 overall and 5-1 in conference action, which was good enough to claim a share of the Missouri Valley Conference championship. The Bears lost at North Dakota, 44-10, in the first round of the FCS Playoffs.
