The Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders and Georgia Southern Eagles will play a home-and-home football series in 2031 and 2032, the schools reported Friday.
The first game of the series is planned for Saturday, Sept. 20, 2031 at Paulson Stadium in Statesboro, Ga. The return contest will take place on Saturday, Sept. 25, 2032, at Johnny “Red” Floyd Stadium in Murfreesboro, Tenn.
Georgia Southern has taken seven of the 11 all-time matchups between the sides. Both schools are former Division 1-AA (now FCS) powers. The two have not done battle on the gridiron since joining the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS).
Georgia Southern competes in the Sun Belt Conference. Middle Tennessee is a member of Conference USA.
The games mark the first on the 2031 or 2032 slates for Middle Tennessee. Georgia Southern has a trip to West Point to battle Army planned for Saturday, Nov. 8, 2031.
