Indiana State will travel to Murfreesboro, Tenn. to take on Middle Tennessee on Sept. 12, 2020, the Sycamores’ athletic department announced late Thursday.
The schools have not faced off since Middle Tennessee joined the FBS. The Blue Raiders did clip the Sycamores in overtime, 42-41, in the 1984 Division I-AA playoffs. That game was played in Terre Haute.
This completes the Blue Raiders’ 2020 non-league slate, as a Sept. 5 trip to Duke takes place two weeks before Virginia Tech travels to Johnny “Red” Floyd Stadium. Middle will take a road trip to Ole Miss on Oct. 24, 2020.
Indiana State, part of the Missouri Valley at the FCS level, will visit Kansas in 2019, West Virginia in 2021, and Purdue in 2022.
