The Michigan State Spartans and the UCF Golden Knights have each added the Jacksonville State Gamecocks to their 2014 football schedule, JSU has announced.
Michigan State will host Jacksonville State at Spartan Stadium in East Lansing on August 30, 2014. It will be the season opener and the first meeting ever between the two schools.
The Spartans also travel to West Virginia and host Eastern Michigan in 2014.
The UCF Golden Knights will host the JSU Gamecocks on September 20, 2014 at Bright House Networks Stadium in Orlando. Like Michigan State, UCF has never played Jacksonville State in football.
UCF’s only other scheduled game in 2014 is against Florida International at home.
Jacksonville State is a member of the Ohio Valley Conference in the FCS. Other future non-conference games for the Gamecocks include Ole Miss in 2010, Kentucky in 2011, Florida in 2012 and LSU in 2015.
