Miami (OH) RedHawksThe Miami (OH) RedHawks have updated their future football schedules, interim athletic director Steve Snyder announced today.

Miami has added games against Eastern Kentucky in 2014 and Michigan State in 2017, and also announced a date for their 2016 game at Cincinnati.

The RedHawks will host the Eastern Kentucky Colonels at Yager Stadium on Sept. 6, 2014. The game completes their 2014 schedule, which also includes a home game vs. Marshall (Aug. 30) and road games vs. Michigan (Sept. 13) and Cincinnati (Sept. 20).

On Sept. 9, 2017, Miami will travel to face Michigan State at Spartan Stadium in East Lansing. It will be the fifth overall meeting between the two schools, although Michigan State forfeited their win in 1994. Officially, the Spartans lead the series 3-0.

Miami, which battles Cincinnati on an annual basis for the Victory Bell, also announced that the date of their 2016 game at the Bearcats will be on Sept. 10. Miami and Cincinnati have met 117 times since 1888, and the RedHawks hold a 59-51-7 lead in the series.

Today’s announcement gives the RedHawks 19 non-conference games through the 2018 season. They lack two games in 2015, one in 2016, and one each in 2017 and 2018.
