The Miami Hurricanes and the Texas A&M Aggies have scheduled a home-and-home football series for 2022 and 2023, the two schools announced on Tuesday.
In the first game of the series, Texas A&M will host Miami at Kyle Field in College Station on Sept. 17, 2022. The Aggies will then travel to face the Hurricanes at Hard Rock Stadium on Sept. 9, 2023.
Texas A&M defeated Miami 70-14 in their first-ever meeting on the gridiron back in 1944. The Hurricanes then won both games of a home-and-home series in 2007 and 2008 to take a 2-1 lead in the series.
“We are excited to announce this home-and-home series with the Hurricanes of Miami,” Texas A&M Director of Athletics Scott Woodward said. “Texas A&M and Miami are two of the premier, tradition-rich and storied football programs in the country.”
Texas A&M now has future home-and-home agreements with UCLA (2016-17), Clemson (2018-19), Colorado (2020-21), Miami (2022-23), and Notre Dame (2024-25).
“These games will provide a tremendous opportunity for our student-athletes, coaches and fans to compete at home against a top program and travel to a fantastic gameday experience,” said Miami Deputy Director of Athletics Jennifer Strawley. “I am thrilled that we were able to finalize a series against an outstanding program like Texas A&M.”
Miami also boasts a strong list of future power opponents. Games against Texas A&M join Notre Dame (2017, 2024-25), LSU (2018), Florida (2019), and Michigan State (2020-21).
