The Memphis Tigers have scheduled future football series with Mississippi State, ULM, and UTSA, the school announced today.
Memphis will host Mississippi State at Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium on Sept. 18, 2021. The Tigers will then travel to face the Bulldogs at Davis Wade Stadium in Starkville on Sept. 24, 2022.
Memphis and Mississippi State first met in 1960 and have played 37 games overall. The Bulldogs lead the series 27-10 and have won the last 12 matchups.
On Sept. 2, 2017, Memphis begins a home-and-home series with the ULM Warhawks at the Liberty Bowl. The Tigers travel to face the Warhawks at Malone Stadium in Monroe two seasons later on Sept. 28, 2019.
Memphis and ULM have only met twice on the gridiron. ULM won the first meeting 21-20 in 1979, and then Memphis won the second meeting 28-0 in 2000.
Memphis will host the the UTSA Roadrunners on Sept. 26, 2020. The following season, the Tigers travel to face the Roadrunners at the Alamodome in San Antonio on Sept. 25, 2021.
The 2020 game between the Tigers and Roadrunners will be the first on the gridiron between the two schools.
Memphis also announced today the addition of a home game against Southern Illinois on Sept. 23, 2017. Today’s announcements complete Memphis’ non-conference schedule for the 2017 season.
