The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) has announced their 2022 ESPN football TV schedule, which includes 30 regular-season match-ups on ESPN, ESPNU, ESPN3, ESPN+, and one postseason appearance on ABC.
Eight regular-season MEAC matchups will be broadcast on ESPN, ESPNU, and/or ESPN3, and one postseason appearance, the Cricket Celebration Bowl, will be televised on ABC.
The season kicks off with the 2022 Cricket MEAC/SWAC Football Challenge in Week Zero on Saturday, Aug. 27 at Center Parc Stadium in Atlanta, Ga. The matchup features Howard against Alabama State and the contest will be televised live by ESPN at 7:00pm ET.
One contest has been moved to a weeknight for a national television broadcast. Morgan State at North Carolina Central, previously scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 15, will now be played on Thursday, Oct. 13 and will be nationally televised by ESPNU at 7:30pm ET.
The MEAC will have four “wildcard” contests featuring teams in contention for the conference title. The three windows are scheduled for Oct. 22, Nov. 5, Nov. 12, and Nov. 19, all on ESPN3. Matchups and game times will be announced at a later date.
All remaining MEAC controlled regular-season games will be streamed via ESPN+.
The Cricket Celebration Bowl concludes the MEAC football TV schedule on Saturday, Dec. 17. The bowl game in Atlanta pits the champions of the MEAC and the SWAC at Noon ET and it will be televised live by ABC.
