The Maryland Terrapins and the Wisconsin Badgers have scheduled a home-and-home series for 2020 and 2021, the schools announced today.
Maryland will travel to face Wisconsin at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison on Sept. 12, 2020. The Terrapins will then host the Badgers at Byrd Stadium in College Park on Sept. 11, 2021.
The two schools have never met in football. Maryland is 4-44-1 all-time against teams from the Big Ten, while Wisconsin is 6-3 versus the ACC.
“We’re excited about adding Wisconsin to the upcoming football schedule,” Maryland athletic director Kevin Anderson said in a statement. “These will be much anticipated games for both our future student-athletes and for our fans.”
“The world of college football changes dramatically in 2014 with the implementation of the playoff system,” Wisconsin head coach Bret Bielema said. “This is another step towards strengthening our non-conference schedule and helping us recruit nationally.”
The home-and-home series is the first game scheduled for both Maryland and Wisconsin in 2020 and 2021.
Both schools have been active lately in adding games to their future schedules. Last week, Maryland added future series against Rutgers and UCF, plus they are rumored to host Old Dominion in 2013.
Earlier this month, Wisconsin added two games vs. BYU in 2017 and 2018.
